Maruti Suzuki India, Country’s top car manufacturer has issued a statement in regards to ongoing economic slowdown in India. Maruti Suzuki sales had slowed down in the month of August 2019, despite Government’s Stimulas announcement in August.
Mr Ayukawa, MD & CEO, Maruti Suzuki said,
Government is sensitive about the slowdown in auto industry and its implications. It is welcoming that Government is working to introduce measures to improve the situation. All key stake holders – OEMs, suppliers, dealers, banks, etc., have to collaborate with confidence. We have to work together to come out of the slowdown.
Currently Maruti Suzuki leads UV Segment with over 1 Million unit sales. Maruti Suzuki surpassed 450 Arena showrooms in mere 2 years.
