Ola Electric Expands Bharat Cell Ecosystem to Power India’s New Energy Platform

Ola Electric has announced a major expansion of its 4680 Bharat Cell platform at the Prarambh 2026 event. This move transitions the company’s proprietary cell technology from an internal component into a versatile energy platform available for external businesses and startups. By opening access to these domestically manufactured cells, Ola Electric aims to accelerate innovation across several high-tech sectors.

Powering the Future: Applications Beyond Mobility

The 4680 Bharat Cell is now available for direct purchase by businesses, either as individual cells or as 1.5kWh battery packs. This modular platform is designed for diverse applications, including:

  • Humanoids and Robotics: Providing high-density energy for advanced autonomous systems.
  • Aviation and Drones: Supporting the power requirements for unmanned aerial vehicles.
  • Medical Equipment: Offering portable energy solutions for critical medical machines.
  • Electric Vehicles: Enabling startups to build and scale their own mobility products using proven battery technology.

Launch of Shakti: Domestic Residential Energy Storage

Ola Electric has officially opened sales for Shakti, India’s first fully domestically designed and manufactured residential Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Powered by the Bharat Cell, Shakti is designed to provide households, farms, and small businesses with greater control over their energy consumption.

The system is available in two configurations:

  • Shakti 3kW/5.2kWh: Priced at 1,49,999, with deliveries beginning in mid-February 2026.
  • Shakti 6kW/9.1kWh: Priced at 2,49,999, with deliveries starting at the end of January 2026.

Shakti is capable of powering high-load appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, induction cookers, and farm pumps, offering up to 1.5 hours of backup on a full load.

New Flagship Mobility Products

The expansion also marks the commencement of deliveries for new flagship electric vehicles powered by the 4680 Bharat Cell:

  • Roadster X+ (9.1kWh): This flagship motorcycle is priced at 1,89,999. It features an 11kW motor and delivers a range of up to 500 km on a single charge, reaching a top speed of 125 kmph and accelerating from 0-40 kmph in 2.7 seconds.
  • S1 Pro+ (5.2kWh): Priced at 1,90,338, this scooter utilizes a 13kW motor and the Bharat Cell to achieve an IDC range of 320km and a top speed of 130 kmph. Deliveries for the S1 Pro+ have now scaled up across India.

By integrating its in-house cell technology across two-wheelers and residential storage, Ola Electric is establishing a unified energy backbone engineered and manufactured entirely within India.
