Over 1000 Harley Owners gather at Bengaluru for 5th Southern H.O.G. Rally
More than 1000 Harley-Davidson riders rumbled into Bengaluru as the city played host to the 5th Southern H.O.G. Rally on April 2, 2016. The Harley owners were from 22 H.O.G. (Harley Owners’ Group) Chapters – some having ridden from as far as Lucknow and Delhi – to gather for a remarkable experience.
The highlight of the event – the signature H.O.G. Custom Contest, gave riders an opportunity to show-off their creative spirits through their motorcycles. The element of customization and personalization is central to the Harley ownership experience, and enables riders to discover and express themselves through their motorcycles. Thirumal Govindraj from Tusker Chapter (Bangalore) won the much coveted H.O.G. Custom Contest with his exquisitely customized Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special.
The rally also witnessed close to 370 H.O.G. members ride thousands of kilometers in their quest for the Big 5 Patch. This patch commends riders on their passion and spirit for biking which can span thousands of kilometers across the country. It is awarded each year to riders who cover all the zonal rallies and the India H.O.G. Rally in one year.
Srinivas Reddy, Dealer Principal, Tusker Harley-Davidson said,
This year the Tusker Chapter is thrilled to have hosted the brotherhood for the 5th Southern H.O.G. Rally in our home city. It’s at H.O.G. events like these where fun is in abundance and where one comes across the stalwarts of Harley ownership. The excitement level was incredible and we can’t wait for to see what the Tiger Chapter (Indore) has planned for the 5thEastern H.O.G. rally later this year.
Spread annually across the year, the zonal H.O.G. rallies aim to provide Harley owners with great riding experiences across various terrains. At these rallies, the unforgettable sound of roaring V-twins and the wide variety of experiences encountered always give riders a unique feeling of freedom. The Southern rallies have always been amongst the most actively participated rallies because of the unique and exhilarating experiences that the South Indian peninsula offers. In the past, rallies have been held in Kochi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Hampi and have always seen large numbers of H.O.G. members to from across India ride down to participate.
