Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 Specifications Revealed: A Lightweight Electric Marvel

Royal Enfield has officially pulled the covers off the technical specifications of its highly anticipated debut electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6. First showcased as a concept, the C6 operates under Royal Enfield’s dedicated electric sub-brand, Flying Flea, and is built entirely on the new ‘L’ platform. Drawing profound inspiration from the WWII-era motorcycles that were famously dropped via parachutes, the modern Flying Flea encapsulates a design language that is inherently lightweight, cool, and mechanically elegant.

Living up to its historic moniker and aviation-inspired theme, the Flying Flea C6 is remarkably light. Royal Enfield has achieved a kerb weight of just 124kg, making it an incredibly agile and manageable machine for riders of all statures.

Flying Flea C6 Powertrain, Battery, and Range

At the heart of the Flying Flea C6 is a 3.91kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This structural power source is paired with a highly efficient permanent magnet synchronous motor that drives the rear wheel via a smooth and silent belt drive system. Performance is brisk for the urban environment, with the electric motor churning out a peak power output of 15.4kW and a peak torque of 60Nm.

The lightweight nature of the motorcycle combined with instant electric torque propels the Flying Flea C6 from 0 to 60kph in a mere 3.7 seconds, allowing it to reach a top speed of 115kph. For those concerned about range anxiety, Royal Enfield claims an IDC range of 154km on a single charge. Charging the motorcycle is designed to be convenient; using the on-board charger, the battery can go from 0 to 100 percent in 2 hours and 16 minutes at an ambient temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.

To cater to varying riding conditions, the C6 is equipped with multiple riding modes: City, Rain, Highway, and Sport, alongside a Custom mode that allows the rider to tweak the power delivery to their personal preference.

Chassis, Suspension, and Technology

The Flying Flea C6 stands out in the modern motorcycling landscape with its unique suspension setup. Staying true to the WWII-era concept design, the front end features a beautifully crafted aluminum girder fork, a rarity in today’s market that adds massive visual and mechanical appeal. The rear end utilizes a conventional monoshock setup.

The motorcycle rides on 19-inch wheels equipped with narrow, range-efficient 90-section tubeless tyres at both the front and the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 260mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. Despite its retro aesthetics, the C6 is packed with modern safety features, including lean-sensitive dual-channel ABS with a switchable rear. It also incorporates standard traction control and cornering traction control to keep the lightweight frame planted. All electronic features and connectivity options are controlled via a round, touch-enabled 3.5-inch TFT dash.
