Bengaluru, 25 January 2017, GaadiKey was invited for a bike ride event organized by CRY(Child Rights and You) Bangalore volunteers in collaboration with GoMad Festival called “Ride for Rights” to observe The World Day Against Child Labour to ensure every child goes to school, and not to work.

The event was organized at Freedom Park, Bengaluru starting with a Bike rally in the route Freedom Park, through Kalidasa Marg, Palace Road, RC College, Seshadri Road and back to Freedom Park.

Throughout the rally voices raised to fight against child rights, the riders were accompanied by the pillions holding placard creating awareness about child rights. CRY surely meets their tagline “Ensuring lasting change for children”.

The bike rally was followed by delicious breakfast in the freedom park premises, after overcoming our hunger pangs we had enough time to explore the flea market organized at the venue and do some shopping before the commencement of other programs

At 9.30 AM the cultural events commenced with a mime show by CRY team with the theme “A child is meant to learn not to earn”. The Host for the day was RJ Jimmy from Radio Mirchi who was also a part of the bike rally.

The show was followed by felicitating the partners for the event and Eventful Musical performances by various rockbands like “ThePeepalTree”, “Zehan”, “Shubham Roy collective” and “Suraj Mani and Tattva Trip”.

It was a wonderful event and we hope the message reaches to the public and every human being becomes responsible enough to at least save one child from the effect of child labour and fight for “Rights of every child”.
