Rumor: Kawasaki working on 150cc Motorcycle
There are rumors that popular motorcycle manufacturer, Kawasaki is working on building smaller 150cc engine for its upcoming motorcycle. The engine is expected to come with single cylinder which is air-cooled type. If the news is true, it clearly shakes up the market even further than Ducati Sixty2 and Benelli.
The power figures of the new 150cc Kawasaki is rumoured to be around 17 to 20 bhp. The bike gets a 6-speed gearbox to wrap things up. When it comes to styling, Kawasaki would look to play on the retro-modern trend that is witnessing a revival on the motorcycle scene.
This Kawasaki model is clearly developed for emerging markets in Asia and South America. More details on the bike is expected in coming months. Kawasaki is also preparing to expand its Indian portfolio to increase its sales figures. Also, a new entry-level motorcycle from Kawasaki is expected to be launched very soon.
The Kawasaki Scramblers appear to be the flavour of the season. Following many announcements from the likes of Benelli, Ducati, and others, it is now the time for Kawasaki. For now, it is Kawasaki which is creating some buzz. There is also a talk which is going on that the Japanese manufacturer would be in the market with a small-engine Scrambler of their own.
