Suzuki Gixxer SP Edition to launch in India soon

Suzuki 2 Wheelers will be launching the SP edition of Gixxer / Gixxer SF in India soon. The new SP edition motorcycles were displayed in the form of posters at a Suzuki dealership before its official launch. The SP edition motorcycles like Street fighter and faired Gixxer variants will be made available in limited numbers only.

The SP Edition posters that are displayed at dealerships reveals the motorcycle with an exclusive matte grey color option with sporty chequered flag decals as well. Both Gixxer and SF will sport dual-tone red-black seats and also comes with red rim stripes.

When we have a closer look at the body work and detailing, it appears that it is very identical to that of regular models. There will be no mechanical changes for Gixxer SP Edition.

Under the hood, the Gixxer SP edition motorcycles will be powered by 154.9 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that comes with a carburetor. The Gixxer SP edition motorcycles will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox, the engine of the bike produces 14.8 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque.

Both Gixxer and SF are made of tubular steel frame which holds engine as a stressed member. The suspension system of motorcycle is made of conventional front telescopic fork and rear monoshock unit. The 17-inch alloy wheels are wrapped in 110/80 (front) and 140/60R (rear) section tyres.

Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF SP editions are equipped with front and rear disc brakes. What about the price? the special edition models to be priced at a premium. A fuel-injected version of the Gixxers are also expected to be launched this festive season.
