Japanese 2 wheeler manufacturer, Suzuki Motorcycles India Private Limited has recorded a growth of 32% (year on year) in their June 2015 sales figures. 32,262 units of Suzuki motorcycles were sold during June 2015 as compared to 24,812 units in June 2014 indicating a substantial growth in overall sales.
Mr. Atul Gupta who is the Executive Vice President of SMIPL (Suzuki Motorcycles India Private Limited) said
Several factors have come together to propel us onto a consistent growth path, complimented by a more-than 30% increase in sales in the last month itself. Part of the increased demand from customers is because of Suzuki’s various marketing efforts and partly due to the perceived upswing in consumer mood. Aggressive marketing initiatives for Suzuki Gixxer has generated a lot of excitement and interest in Suzuki’s flagship product. In general, the economy tends to show signs of picking up after a better- than-expected monsoon, which always has a positive influence on the auto sector
