Tata Kite spotted on Indian roads
Friends at MotorOctane has spotted the Tata Kite car on Indian roads and the image of the car has been captured. Interiors of Tata Kite hatchbacks, headlamps, front grille as well as the tail lamps have been spotted and all these images are available. Tata Kite is based on Tata Indica eV2 and Tata Indigo eCS platform.
However the car looks like it has got a major upgrade in design and engineering to make it look more premium and at par with the competition in 4 wheeler market in India.
Tata Kite comes with an integrated music system at least on the top-of-the-line, steering-mounted audio controls, power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs with voice commands. The Tata Kite twins would be strictly sold only in the private market while the Tata Indica and Indigo eCS would continue to be present in private and commercial market.
Tata Kite is going to be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol motor and 1.05-litre diesel motor. These engines of Tata Motor are used for the first time and is going to be powerful and fuel-efficient. The pricing of the car would be between INR 4.5 lakhs to 7.25 lakhs (on-road price). Tata Kite twins shall be launched this year (2015) during the festive season.
