The Italian company Benelli has made a right move to bring its 300 cc bike to the Indian automobile market. To say precisely there is a good fortune for Benelli because it is right time for Benelli BN 302 to rock in India as Indian teens are attracted to naked street bikes, but the 300 cc segment is not a bed of roses due to its rivals Kawasaki ninja 300 ,KTM duke 390. Benelli has joined with DSK motowheels of India to make its debut.

Benelli BN 302

Benelli has planned to launch 5 bikes ranging from 300-1130 cc here BN 302 will be affordable model. Unlike rugged looks which the Indian naked bikes have, the Benelli has a smooth and angelic design.

Benelli BN 302  has a steel trestle frame, liquid cooled engine, it also has slim spoke design which adds a masculine look. The BN 302 beast has a parallel twin cylinder liquid 300 cc which gives it  a heart of dragon. Each cylinder has 4 valves , it produces 36.2 bhp power at 11500 rpm and achieves a maximum torque of 2.7 kgm torque. The Benelli bikes have their performance tuned so they have awesome throttle response and it sounds like thunder bolt on streets. The top speed of the bike is above 150 kms which is perfect for the racing instinct. The Benelli BN302 uses upside-down front forks with a side-mounted monoshock at the rear, a first in this segment for India. It has a 260 mm front disc and 240 mm back disc ,both are ventilated petal type rotors. Coming to the seating position it is not so aggressive as in other super bikes, the seat is broad and straight and handle bars are so comfortable to hold it. So BN302 gives a best shot for restless long rides.

Finally Benelli BN 302 will be a tough competitor for duke 390 ,Suzuki’s Inazuma if it makes a debut in the Indian market.
