Royal Enfield is working on a new platform for its electric motorcycle. The first upcoming Electric Motorcycle in India  is expected to be launched by 2020. The company would like to test the product thoroughly before launching in the market. The pricing of this electric bike will depend upon various factors like the size of the motor, range etc. We expect Royal Enfield to price the bike competitively.

The RE electric bike would have a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 5.5 seconds. This is mighty fast for a Royal Enfield. Electric bikes have a faster acceleration than conventional gasoline powered bikes, with a range of approximately 200 kms. and will have a power output of 65bhp and a torque of around 50Nm. The bike will have a kerb weight of 200kg
