Toyota India (TKM) announces Leadership Change

Toyota Kirloskar Motor's new management and leadership changes to be effective from 1st January 2020

Toyota Kirloskar Motor, today announced the roll-out of restructured organizational changes effective from 1st January 2020, as it continues to redesign the company operations under long-term perspectives. With this, the company aims to further strengthen the objectivity and agility of the senior management team at various functional drives.

An industry veteran, Mr. N. Raja, who has been with TKM for the last 7 years, has now donned a larger role and moved to Toyota Financial Services India, assuming his post as the Managing Director (subject to board approval) of the company. Mr. N. Raja was previously Deputy Managing Director for Sales & Marketing functions at TKM.

The other key changes highlight the promotion of Mr. Raju. B. Ketkale as the Deputy Managing Director, covering Manufacturing as a function. Mr. Ketkale, with over two decades of automobile experience was previously Senior Vice President & Director at TKM, handling Product Design & Development and Quality Assurance.

Another crucial development in the organization is that of Mr. Naveen Soni, who has been promoted as the Senior Vice President of the Sales & Customer Service functions. Mr. Soni, who has been in the company for close to two decades, was previously Vice President of External Affairs, Corporate Social Responsibility & Public Relations at TKM. Alongside, Mr. Vikram Gulati who is the Country Head & Vice President of External Affairs in India, has now been promoted as Senior Vice President and will be taking charge of External Affairs, Corporate Social Responsibility & Public Relations.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Masakazu Yoshimura, Managing Director – Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said,

In our efforts to achieve Sustainable Growth and enhance competitiveness, we are excited to announce the key structural changes within the company to strengthen operations and enhance focus on the growth of our workforce and the company. TKM takes pride to note the recognition of unwavering contributions of the Indian executives and huge potential to handle new leadership roles. I am certain that our new team with their passionate leadership and strategic vision will steer the company to greater avenues.

The changes so announced will boost the alignment of resources to achieve greater optimization and improve efficiencies throughout operations. At the same time, such changes recognize the truly significant contributions of the senior leaders enriching the operational performances with their years of experiences & learnings moving on to newer heights.
