TVS Motor Company, country’s very own leading 2-wheeler manufacturer has introduced the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) variant of the Apache RTR 160 4V in India. The all new TVS Apache RTR 160 motorcycle gets single-channel ABS along with Fuel-injection. The all new Apache RTR 160 4V ABS has been priced at Rs 98,644 (ex-showroom).
TVS Motor Company is expected to launch the carburetor variant of Apache RTR 160 ABS within this month. Talking about the price, the ABS variant of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is priced Rs 7000 more than the regular Apache 160 model. The carburettor model of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V will be Rs 5000 expensive than the regular one’s.
Talking about the mechanicals, 159cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine of TVS Apache RTR 160 churns out about 16.6bhp of power with fuel-injection and 16.2bhp of power with carburetion. The Torque remains same for both versions – which is 14.8Nm.
Apache RTR 160’s engine gets a four-valve head and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets rear disc brake in the carburetor variant, and standard brakes for the FI version.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V ABS Competition
Talking about the competition, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V competes against the Honda CB Hornet 160R, recently launched Yamaha FZ V3.0 ABS and Suzuki Gixxer ABS.
