TVS records 8% sales growth in August 2018
TVS Motor Company registered a sales growth of 8% increasing from 317,563 units in August 2017 to 343,217 units in the month of August 2018.
Two-Wheeler
Total two-wheelers registered a growth of 7% with sales increasing from 309,146 units in August 2017 to 330,076 units in August 2018. Domestic two-wheeler sales registered a growth of 2% from 270,544 units in August 2017 to 275,688 units in August 2018.
Scooter sales of the Company grew by 11% from 114,354 units in August 2017 to 126,676 units in August 2018. Motorcycles sales grew by 18% with sales increasing from 111,927 units in August 2017 to 131,743 units in August 2018.
Exports
The Company’s total exports grew by 45% from 45,604 units registered in the month of August 2017 to 66,028 units in August 2018. Two-wheeler exports grew by 41% increasing from 38,602 units in August 2017 to 54,388 units in August 2018.
Three-Wheeler
Three-wheeler of the Company grew by 56% increasing from 8,417 units in August 2017 to 13,141 units registered in August 2018.
