TVS Motor Company registered a sales growth of 23% increasing from 293,257 units in September 2016 to 359,850 units registered in the month of September 2017.
Two-Wheeler
Total two-wheeler registered growth of 22.1% with sales increasing from 287,449 units in September 2016 to 350,854 units in September 2017. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 20.9% increasing from 253,974 units in September 2016 to 307,160 units in September 2017.
Scooter sales of the Company grew by 43.3% from 84,850 units in September 2016 to 121,601 units in September 2017. Motorcycles sales grew by 17.2% with sales increasing from 122,813 units in September 2016 to 143,923 units in September 2017.
Exports
The Company’s total exports grew by 33.6% from 38,164 units registered in the month of September 2016 to 50,971 units in September 2017. Two-wheeler exports grew by 30.5% increasing from 33,475 units in September 2016 to 43,694 units in September 2017.
Three-Wheeler
Three-wheeler of the Company grew by 54.9% increasing from 5,808 units in September 2016 to 8,996 units registered in September 2017.
Second Quarter Sales Performance
During the second quarter of the financial year 2017 – 2018, two-wheeler sales of the Company grew by 16.1% increasing from 7.95 lakh units in the second quarter of the previous year to 9.23 lakh units in the second quarter of the current year. The three-wheeler sales of the Company grew by 23.8% increasing from 0.20 lakh units in the second quarter of the previous year to 0.25 lakh units in the second quarter of the current financial year.
