Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth Ramp Up Type-6 DC Fast-Charging Network Across India

The strategic collaboration between Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth is yielding rapid and substantial results for India’s electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. Originally launched in March 2026, their interoperable Type-6 DC fast-charging network has officially crossed the milestone of 130+ installed chargers across the country.

This achievement signifies that the companies have accomplished more than double their initial deployment commitment of 50 chargers, notably completing this ahead of their original rollout timeline. This expansion represents a significant step in accelerating the electric mobility ecosystem in India.

The Driving Forces Behind the Expansion

The accelerated rollout of this charging network is not happening in a vacuum. It is a direct response to several converging factors in the market and the broader economy:

  • Rising Consumer Demand: The deployment is being fast-tracked to accommodate Ultraviolette’s expanding rider base and the overall surge in India’s electric motorcycle market.
  • National Energy Security: India is placing a renewed focus on energy resilience and security.
  • Economic Factors: The shift toward electricity-led mobility aids in foreign-exchange conservation amid global uncertainties regarding crude oil supply.
  • Sustainable Infrastructure: There is a strong national push toward developing cleaner mobility infrastructure.

The deployment reflects a stronger-than-anticipated execution velocity from both companies. It reinforces a shared commitment between Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth to construct an interoperable, seamless, and future-ready charging ecosystem.

Network Availability and Supported Regions

Currently, this rapidly expanding fast-charging network is live and operational across seven major Indian states. This widespread availability is significantly strengthening accessibility to fast charging while promoting the adoption of interoperable EV infrastructure nationwide.

Riders can presently access the network in the following states:

  • Andhra Pradesh
  • Karnataka
  • Kerala
  • Maharashtra
  • Tamil Nadu
  • Telangana
  • West Bengal

Seamless Rider Experience and Technology Integration

A core focus of this rollout is ensuring a frictionless experience for the end-user. The expanding charging ecosystem is fully integrated across both the Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth platforms.

This integration provides customers with several key digital benefits:

  • Real-time charger discovery
  • Complete visibility into charging sessions
  • Integrated digital payment capabilities

Furthermore, all chargers within this network are fully compatible with the Ultraviolette X-47 and F77 motorcycles. This ensures that riders have seamless access to crucial fast-charging infrastructure whether they are navigating key cities, traveling on highways, or utilizing emerging EV corridors.

The physical deployment itself consists of a hybrid approach. It includes the installation of brand-new Type-6 DC fast chargers, alongside strategic upgrades made to existing Bolt.Earth charging infrastructure to ensure full support for Ultraviolette motorcycles. Ultimately, this growing ecosystem is expected to significantly enhance rider confidence, long-distance usability, route flexibility, and overall charging convenience.

Future Roadmap: Scaling Interoperable Infrastructure

The current milestone of 130+ chargers is only the beginning of a much larger blueprint. As part of the immediate next phase of expansion, an additional 200 Type-6 DC fast chargers are scheduled to go live over the next two months.

“Crossing 130+ Type-6 fast chargers ahead of schedule is in response to Ultraviolette’s expanding rider base and the broader growth of India’s electric two-wheeler market,” stated Niraj Rajmohan, Co-founder & CTO of Ultraviolette. “Recent crude-linked volatility has reinforced the need for more resilient, electricity-led mobility infrastructure. For electric mobility to scale meaningfully, charging infrastructure must evolve alongside vehicle technology with reliability, accessibility, and interoperability at its core.”

Rajmohan further noted that as adoption continues to accelerate, interoperable fast-charging infrastructure will play a defining role in driving the next phase of EV growth in India and enabling long-distance usability.

Bolt.Earth is equally focused on the aggressive scaling of this infrastructure.

Mohit Yadav, Founder of Bolt.Earth, remarked, “Crossing 100 chargers within weeks of launch is more than a milestone for us, it reflects both the pace at which India’s EV ecosystem is evolving and our ability to scale interoperable infrastructure rapidly.”

Yadav also outlined a massive long-term goal for the network, stating, “With a roadmap to deploy 10,000 Type-6 Blaze DC chargers over the next two years, our focus remains on building one of India’s most reliable and accessible public fast-charging networks for electric two-wheelers.”

By continuing to expand this interoperable charging infrastructure at scale, Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth are collectively laying a stronger foundation for the next phase of India’s electric mobility growth, granting riders the freedom and confidence to adopt performance electric vehicles.
