The Italian automaker, Fiat is making some news in India – thanks to the newly launched Fiat Abarth Punto. The powerful Abarth Punto was launched on October 19 in India at Rs 9.95 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Fiat India has now released a fresh TV commercial which exclusively showcases the Abarth Punto. Under the hood, the new Fiat Abarth Punto is powered by 1.4 litre T-Jet Abarth engine that produces a stunning 145 BHP of power, enabling the hatch to touch the 100 kmph mark in just 8.8 seconds. This is the first hatchback to break the 10 seconds barrier in India. The sheer punch and performance of the car will raise up the adrenalin and excitement levels of the auto enthusiasts in the country. The engine of Abarth Punto comes mated with a 5 speed manual gearbox. The maximum torque generated is 212 Nm at 2000 to 4000 RPM with an estimated top speed of 190 kmph.
The newly launched Fiat Abarth Punto is a uniquely positioned hatchback that comes with some of the luxury features like Electric Boot open, Automatic air-conditioning, Soft touch front dashboard, Ambient light, Rear AC vents, Classy Infotainment system, Foldable keys and Follow me headlamps.
Abarth Punto is lowered as the ground clearance of the car has been kept at 155 mm. Fiat Abarth logos are strikingly visible at the front as well as at the rear of the car.
In the new Abarth Punto, a lot of chrome has been used in the front grill, fog and rear light housing. The door handles and the exhaust tip. Abarth Punto features large 16 inch alloy wheels that are designed like a scorpion, giving the car an impressive look.
Fiat Abarth Punto hot hatch is made available in 2 vibrant colours: Hip-hop Black and Pearl White with sporty red highlights and racing embellishments.
