Yamaha India has launched a new 125cc engine powered Saluto motorcycle in India. The new Yamaha Saluto belongs to 125cc commuter bike segment. Yamaha Saluto has been priced at Rs. 52,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Talking about the specifications of Yamaha Saluto, the bike is powered by 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol motor which can produce a maximum power of 8.2 BHP and churns out a maximum torque of 10.1Nm. The engine of Yamaha Saluto 125cc is mated with a 4-speed gearbox.

Yamaha India claims that the Saluto could deliver up to 78 Kms per litre, the Blue Core technology which is present in the bike is the secret sauce of Yamaha Saluto’s mileage.

The latest Japanese entrant in the commuter motorcycle space weighs only 112 kg, and is the cheapest motorcycle in its class.

Features of Yamaha Saluto 125cc commuter bike

  • Feature list of Yamaha Saluto includes black new alloy wheels & electric-start.
  • Disc brakes are not not available currently, only drum brakes.
  • Yamaha Saluto also gets a long 680 mm seat for better comfort. Ground clearance is rated at 180mm, to tackle rough terrain.

Yamaha Saluto would be available in 2 colours – Victory Red & Brave Black.

Price of Yamaha Saluto 125cc

The bike has been priced at 52,000 INR ( ex-showroom Delhi)
Yamaha is aiming to sell more than 50,000 units of the Saluto motorcycle annually. At the end of this year, Yamaha would be launching performance motorcycles that includes YZF-R3, MT-25, MT-07 & MT-09.
