India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd. (IKM) announces the launch of the all-new Kawasaki W175 MY 23, the latest model in the “W” family.
The W175 is an authentic retro model designed for the Indian market. India Kawasaki Motors feels proud to present a motorcycle that gives the look and sensation of an iconic motorcycle from the past. It comes with a 177- cc engine producing a power output of 13 PS @ 7000 RPM and torque output of 13.3 NM @ 6000 RPM for a high- performance ride. The W175 has two Variants “Standard” and “Special Edition”.
Standard variant has an Ebony colour which gives a black dynamic appearance while Special Edition comes with Candy Persimmon Red as a base colour and “W” 3D emblem crowned on fuel tank reminds you of the famous Kawasaki W1, the Pioneer of W series and the timeless beauty.
The W175 was a complete Make in India Project, a step towards making Kawasaki India self-reliant, incorporating the latest Indian standards including BS6. Most of the parts are designed and developed by talented teams of designers and engineers based at India Kawasaki Motor’s R&D technical centre, in Pune, Maharashtra.

The W175 is powered by a 177 cc Single cylinder air-cooled FI engine for better fuel efficiency. Ample torque makes it easy to operate, offering a stress-free experience that lets riders focus on the ride. A 5-speed transmission and an engine balancer that tames unwanted vibrations also contribute to a fun, comfortable ride.
The semi-double cradle frame configuration with proportionate swing-arm length complements retro styling and also offers excellent durability. The handlebar, optimum seat height, and footpegs put the rider in a natural position, contributing to rider comfort. The W175’s lightweight made it easier to manoeuvre for daily commuting and also capable of getting over any kind of roadway.
The front and rear suspension work with the rigid frame, providing adequate shock absorption for a comfortable ride while offering firm enough damping to enable fun riding. Settings were optimized for the Indian roads.
It offers sure stopping power at the front with single-channel ABS and a 270 mm disc brake gripped by a two- piston caliper. A drum brake slows the rear while adding to the retro looks. Befitting a retro model, the W175 features 17- inch spoke wheels at the front and rear.
Delivery of the W175 MY23 will start in the month of December, and the introductory price for the Standard variant is Rs. 1,47,000 (ex-showroom), while the Special Edition variant is Rs. 1,49,000 (ex-showroom). The Introductory pricing is only available for a limited number of units.
