Japanese car manufacturer, Nissan has introduced a new transmission option for their existing Magnite Compact SUV and has branded it as “Magnite EZ-Shift“. The launch of very first Nissan Magnite happened in the year 2020, during the testing times of Coronavirus lockdown across the world. The Magnite product is well researched, designed and engineered for Indian customers understanding their need. The Magnite as a product comes with many first in segment features like 360 degree around view camera, tilted 8 inch infotainment system, Hill-hold assist, spacious and wide cabin, large bootspace, wireless connectivity options like Android Auto and Apple Car Play.
One can say the newly introduced EZ-Shift is the most affordable SUVs currently in the market with Automated manual transmission option. The Magnite EZ-Shift option is available only with Naturally Aspirated 1 litre petrol engine, and the price starts from Rs 6.5 lakhs ( there is no-turbo engine for EZ-Shift yet). Every grade/trim offered like XE, XL, XV, XV Premium and Kuro Edition in Magnite EZ-Shift gets AMT feature. The variant wise price details of Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift can be found below:

Rich on space, features and low on price, Nissan claims the Magnite EZ-Shift offers a mileage of 19.7 Kmpl which is better than the Manual variant Magnite (19.4 Kmpl). During the media drive of Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift in Chennai we noticed that there is a slight lag in shifting of gears and there is a lag in engine response and it also sounded little noisy, Other than these issues, the Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift is a perfect small SUV to own at a great price point (under 10 lakhs). We reached a top speed of 140 Kmph with the help of 1 litre NA engine and hill-hold assist in the car was quite helpful.
