We are back with one more Hero motorcycle. This time, we have the most fuel-efficient, most reliable and popular Splendor+ motorcycle. Hero has recently refreshed its Splendor+ lineup by bringing in XTEC 2.0 variant which boasts of various features. Let’s explore the new 2025 Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 motorcycle in this review.
Design and Looks
2025 Splendor Design and Looks
The Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 inherits the legendary design and looks of Splendor. The places where it sees upgrades are headlamp (which is now LED based), Fully digital console instead of analog, addition of bluetooth connectivity, i3S, hazard lights and USB port.
The motorcycle offers 17 inch alloy wheels which looks decent, the color (Matte Grey) , the one reviewed here looks beautiful when you see it in flesh. The tail lamps, side profile, everything looks similar to older Splendor. The 3D Hero logo, Splendor+ logo, the metal tank, fully digital. console, the graphics and stickering on side panel, the carrier are some of the most common noticeable design elements. 2025 Splendor XTEC 2.0 Digital Speedometer
The new Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 features a fully digital speedometer display. It prominently displays Speed, fuel gauge, odometer, trip meter and other rider friendly information. The display is visible even under sun, thanks to orange LED back light. The digital console shows you when the i3S switch is activated and when it triggers, there is also side stand indicator etc which is shown on the console.
Connectivity features like Phone call alerts, SMS, Notifications can be seen using the Digital console when you pair your phone with the bike’s XTEC 2,0 console via Bluetooth. The Hero app needs to be used in order to get this functionality.. The Digital console doesn’t show gear indicator.

Talking about. the dimensions,, the new 2025 Hero Splendor+ XTEC weighs 112 Kgs. The seat height measures 785 mm, even the short riders can easily reach the ground sitting on the motorcycle. The new Hero Splendor XTEC 2.0 measure 2000 mm in length, 720mm in width and 1052mm in height.

Engine and Performance
2025 Splendor Engine Specs
Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 is powered by a 97.2cc air-cooled, 4-stroke single-cylinder engine and gets programmed fuel-injection fuel system. The Engine is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission box with a gear pattern N-1-2-3-4 (All down). The new Splendor’s engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 7.9 bhp and can deliver a peak torque of 8.05 Nm.
2025 Splendor Mileage
While Hero Motocorp officially claims a mileage of 75 Kmpl, in reality the motorcycle can easily give you a mileage around 60-65 kmpl. With good riding style, 70-75 kmpl is also achievable.
Ride and Handling
Splendor is a heavy-duty motorcycle and it has built its own charm over the years. It all feels complete when you get started riding this tiny beast. The engine is quick, refined and delivers power in a very quick way. The motorcycle is very good for day-to-day usage and also for rough use. During our test, we used the Splendor+ XTEC on highways as well as on rough surfaces (without asphalted roads). The bike never stops and it is stable and offers good riding comfort on any surface. We observed some vibrations in lower gears, but it goes away once you change the gears.
We were able to achieve a top speed of upto 85 kmph, post that the bike kind of struggles. The i3S feature is brilliant and saves lot of your fuel by turning the engine off when it detects the idling time. For the i3S to trigger you should activate the dedicated i3S switch and one should make sure, the motorcycle is in Neutral gear for it to function. The motorcycle turns on automatically as you press the clutch. The bike is very easy to handle as it weighs only about 112 Kgs. You can take quick U-turns too.
The Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 offers phone call alerts, sms alerts through bluetooth when paired with your phone using Hero. You can also charge your phone on the go by making use of USB port in the motorcycle.
Braking and Suspension
The suspension was good enough to take on rough patches, the bike was stable and sturdy through out our testing period. The Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 gets a telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers in the front and a 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear.
Talking about the brakes, the new Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 is equipped with drum brakes both at the front and the rear (130mm). The brakes were good and responsive. Since its a motorcycle with a small engine capacity, the drum brakes were more than sufficient for braking.

Verdict
Are we impressed with the all new Hero Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 motorcycle? Absolutely! The new Hero Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 is a much needed upgrade from the good old Splendor+. The new XTEC 2.0 gets LED headlamps, fully digital console, i3S technology and also offers call and sms alerts through bluetooth connectivity features. Additionally the new Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 gets Hazard light, more sleeker colors, and USB port charging facility. All in all Hero Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 is a motorcycle with advanced features, yet retaining the amazing ride quality, fuel efficiency and build quality of Splendor+.
