With the recent news of few battery fire in the E scooters from some brands and the summer kicking in, Hero Electric, India’s No. 1 EV company has announced April as Battery Care month. This initiative is being done to facilitate face to face interaction with its 4.5 lakh+ consumers to reinforce the key aspects on battery care and safety and get their electric two-wheelers checked across its 750+ dealership network. This is a free service available to the customers in addition to the free services enjoyed by the Hero Customers and the Mega Service camps that the company organizes time to time across dealerships.
Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric explains-
“There is an urgent need to take concrete actions to assuage any concerns related to the EV safety. Any corrective actions for the EVs already on the road should the first priority. Customer education and awareness about upkeep of the battery and the charging system is a crucial link in this. Though our owner manuals and service literature carry all the necessary steps that the customers must take to get the best out of their bikes, we encourage frequent face to face interaction with our company trained service technicians to reinforce the importance of the role of the customers in keeping the batteries and the chargers in good shape and safe. Such interactions also help to collect valuable feedback about our bikes from the customers and answer any query that they may have regarding the functioning of the bike and general upkeep/safety of the batteries. In the April Battery Care month, Service technicians would also demonstrate how to lookout for any tell-tail signs in a battery that in a rare event may malfunction in future.”
“The Battery Care month will be observed at all our dealerships across 500+ cities and servicing will be done at no cost to the customer”
added Gill.
