Maintaining 5 lac plus sales for the third consecutive month while running on full capacity, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. continued to maintain the momentum in July 2018.
April – July 2018 YTD sales:
For the first time, Honda’s domestic two-wheeler sales (scooter + motorcycle) has crossed 20 lac mark in just 4 months. Honda’s domestic sales have grown by strong double digit 10% from 19,90,438 in April – July 2017 to 21,98,838 units in April – July 2018.
Leading the scooterization of India, Honda’s automatic scooter sales clocked 14,57,485 units, a solid 11% growth over 13,17,607 scooters sold in April – July period last year.
Honda continued to post double digit growth in domestic motorcycle segment too. Honda’s motorcycles sales grew 10% from 6,72,831 units last year to 7,41,353 units sold in April-July, 2018.
Parallely, Honda 2Wheelers India’s exports jumped by 35% to 1,54,294 units in April-July 2018 from 1,14,431 units sold in the same period a year ago.

In July 2018, Honda 2Wheelers India has crossed 38 million customers mark cumulatively since its start of operations in 2001. Growing in solid doubt digits, Honda has sold over 20 lac units in the shortest span of just 4 months. Parallely,We are fully geared up to maximize the potential and sales opportunity in the upcoming festival season.
Total sales in July 2018: (Domestic + Export)
Overall Honda 2Wheelers India sold a total of 5,48,577 units in July 2018, compared to 5,44,529 units in July 2017. Domestic sales stood at 508,415 units. Exports closed at 40,162 units in July’18 compared to 32,569 units in July’17.

- Identifying new talent across India, the ‘IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Hunt’ went to the second city Chennai.
- Honda riders scored back to back win in Round 2 of 2018 Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship in the SuperSport class.
