Honda launches new CB Shine SP; 125cc motorcycle

We had earlier reported that a new 125cc motorcycle from Honda, Shine SP will be launched on November 19. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), launched its 15th product of the year, a special offering in 125cc segment – CB Shine SP.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Keita Muramatsu who is the President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd, said,

While India is the World’s fastest growing economy, it is also home to one of world’s youngest populations. These youngsters recognise their ‘special’ place in society. The new CB Shine SP helps them reflect the same ‘special status’ and puts them a gear ahead of their peers. CB Shine SP is an extension of the ‘new era of motorcycling’ we had ushered in at the Honda RevFest 2015. The model was showcased as a mystery model in August 2015.

Powered by the proven 125cc 4-stroke Advanced HET (Honda Eco Technology) engine, CB Shine SP comes with a slick 5-speed gearbox which provides the best combination of acceleration & comfort. It also features one of the longest wheelbase in the segment and a higher ground clearance for practical and comfortable usage on all types of Indian roads. It’s sharp aerodynamic styling not only guarantees admiration but also ensures performance with economy.

Stylish Design

With urbane sharp looks and modern styling, the new CB Shine SP has been conceptualized to make the rider feel ‘Special’ and add style and dynamism to commuter segment. A combination of sharp headlight with carved visor on top of it, lend an attractive front-look to CB Shine SP. Stylish graphics, aided by front cowl and tank graphics infuse a sense of excitement and liveliness while the curved tank with 3D emblem brings in agility and premiumness to the motorcycle. The sporty character of CB Shine SP receives a boost with the digital analog meter console and the dual tone side-cover. The combination of 5-split alloy wheels with discs adds to its distinctiveness while the strong 2-piece designed modern muffler leaves a lasting impression.

Advanced Technology ensures Next Level Performance

CB Shine SP comes equipped with the Combi-Brake System (CBS), an advanced braking system which enhances rider-safety. The refined Honda Engine Technology (HET) enabled 125cc four-stroke engine provides highest-in-class rear wheel power and a high power output at all speeds, making it the most refined engine in its category. It delivers a superb mileage of 65 kmpl*

Comfort and Convenience

The new CB Shine SP comes with a unique 5-speed gear box which helps reduce vibrations at high-speed, making even the long rides calm and comfortable. The innovative ergonomics, longer-seats, longer wheel-base, an increased ground clearance and 5 step adjustable suspension on the new CB Shine SP provide for comfort of both the rider and the pillion irrespective of the road conditions. Considering the Indian road-condition, Honda has equipped the new CB Shine SP with tubeless tyres, reducing the chances of immediate deflation in case of puncture.

Colors Variants and Availability

The new CB Shine SP comes in 5 stunning colors – Geny Grey Metalic, Athletic Blue Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Black and Rebel Red Metallic; and is available for sale in three variants. Representing good value for money that exceeds the customer’s expectation, the new CB Shine SP is attractively priced, Rs.59,900 for Self-Drum-Alloy, Rs.62,400 for Self-Disc-Alloy and Rs. 64,400 for CBS (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
