The world’s No. 1 premium motorcycle brand, KTM, has kicked off the second season of the KTM CUP, India’s largest racing championship. First round of selections to start in Coimbatore on 22nd Mar 2024. Motorcycle racing enthusiasts across India will now have a chance to participate in the KTM CUP Season 2, which is part of KTM Pro-XP’s endeavour to offer riders with curated experiences that make them a PRO. The selection rounds will happen at Coimbatore 22-24th March, Delhi 13-14th April, Mumbai 26-28th April and Kolkata 11-12th May with the finale planned on 26th May at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore.
KTM CUP Season 1 in 2022-23 generated an unprecedented wave of excitement, attracting over 1,000 racers across India who embraced the challenge both on the circuit and online. It was a testament to KTM’s commitment to further develop the burgeoning racing spirit in India.
The 3 champions from KTM CUP season 1 got to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train with KTM experts at the Slovakia Ring and interact with KTM Factory racing athletes.
In Season 2, the KTM CUP introduces three distinct categories: PROS, WOMEN, AND AMATEURS. This will give a common ground for participants since the skill levels differ for each category.
Definition of the Categories:
- Pros – KTM CUP Season 1 participants (excluding the top 3 winners), FMSCI License Holders / INMRC Racers from the last 3 years, and one-make championship participants.
- Amateurs – All other male KTM owners, any male motorcycle enthusiasts
- Women – All other female KTM owners, any female motorcycle enthusiasts* (*entry restricted to the City round for non-owners, while participants must be KTM owners for the Qualifying/Finale rounds)
The top 3 winners of the KTM CUP Season 2 will win an exclusive chance for training with MotoGP™ legends and former Grand Prix winners at the Red Bull Ring in Salzburg, Austria. One lucky winner will also get a chance to intern with Powerdrift.

The races will be presided by Jeremy McWilliams, an ex-MotoGP racer with two podium finishes in the 500cc class and a win in the 250cc class. The race will be supported by Emmanuel Jebaraj, seven-time National INMRC Champion and a founder of Gusto Racing, India.
