Mahindra to launch 2 new motorcycles based on Mojo’s platform
Although there are not too many motorcycles or scooters in Mahindra 2 Wheelers portfolio, the 2 wheeler division of Mahindra & Mahindra has earned some reputation through Mojo, the 300cc adventure motorcycle. Mojo has not succeeded in generating good numbers like Royal Enfield motorcycles, it is understandable as it is a new entrant.
The company now wants to bank on the success of Mojo as it is planning to launch 2 new motorcycles that are based on Mojo platform. Just not the launch of new Mojo-based motorcycles, but also few premiere dealerships will be opened exclusively for Mojo customers across India.
There are also reports that Mahindra 2 Wheelers is working on affordable variant of the Mojo that doesn’t include dual exhaust, USD or Pirelli.
In 2016 Auto Expo that was held in Delhi, Mahindra Two Wheelers had showcased the adventure tourer as well as scrambler design concepts that were based on Mojo.
Mahindra Mojo Adventurer tourer concept is armed with long travel suspension system, spoke wheels, off-road tyres, vertically staked projector headlamps, knuckle guards and a massive ground clearance.
We will have to wait and watch what Mahindra 2 Wheelers has got in store for this year 2017.
