Maruti Baleno RS set to launch on March 3; All you need to know

Maruti Suzuki, India’s leading car manufacturer will be launching the Road Sports edition of Baleno on March 3. The all new Baleno RS will be featuring 1.0L turbo-charged petrol engine . The all new Maruti Baleno RS’s engine will be mated to 5-speed manual transmission gearbox and is going to be launched in Zeta and Alpha variants.

Maruti Baleno RS Engine and Performance

All new Maruti Baleno RS is going to be powered by 1 litre boosterjet engine ( 998cc) -which is a three-cylinder direct-injection engine. As you would have noticed Baleno RS’s engine is smaller than the existing 1.2 litre petrol engine found in standard version. The differentiating factor – turbocharged engine makes this car a hot hatch.

This powerful engine of Maruti Baleno RS churns out 101 hp of maximum power and 150 Nm of maximum torque. The fuel efficiency of Maruti Baleno RS will be better than the standard Baleno because of the smaller engine size. The regular engine gets power from 1.2 litre VVT inline four cylinder engine that is capable of generating 84 bhp of peak power at 6000 rpm and 115 Nm of peak torque at 4000 rpm.

The all new Maruti Baleno RS can attain a maximum speed of 100 Kmph within 10 seconds.

Maruti Baleno RS Price

The price of this hot hatchback from Maruti Suzuki is expected to be more than that of standard petrol variant. The standard petrol variant of Maruti Baleno is priced at INR 5.24 lakhs to INR 7.57 lakhs. Som you can expect the upcoming Maruti Baleno RS to get a price tag around INR 8.1 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
