The all new Maruti Vitara Brezza is strategically placed just about the new Baleno and is below the Maruti S-Cross in the terms of pricing. One important thing to notice, is that the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza shall go for sale in their regular dealership chains instead of Nexa premium dealership network (where premium cars like S-Cross and Baleno are sold). The change helps in regular dealerships of Maruti Suzuki to get more sales figures. The price of Vitara Brezza is brought done as the car is made of 98% locally sourced components.
Maruti Vitara Brezza Engine
At the start, Maruti Suzuki will be equipping the Vitara Brezza with only diesel engine option. The engine of Vitara Brezza will be the tried and tested 1.3 litre, 4-cylinder, DDiS unit. This diesel engine can deliver a maximum power output of 89 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki is also working on plans to include the petrol engine as well. Adequate insulation has been used in Vitara Brezza in order to keep the NVH levels as low as possible. Vitara Brezza’s engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.
Maruti Vitara Brezza Features
Vitara Brezza comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment system, steering mounted controls, push button engine ignition, an automatic AC, bluetooth connectivity, keyless entry, an audio system with USB and has support for aux-in. The car gets safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD. In addition to all this, Maruti Vitara Brezza gets the projector headlights, fog lamps, mood lighting for the instrument console, LED light guides, 60:40 folding rear seats, cruise control and 16 inch alloy wheels.
Maruti Vitara Brezza Personalisation
For the very first time, Vitara Brezza introduces personalisation in this segment. Customers can choose from 3 design packages named Sporty, Glamour and Urban. Each of these packages comes with its own set of styling changes and additions such as decals, a black front grille (instead of the usual chrome), different alloys, body cladding, etc so that the car owner can have some degree of customisation.
Maruti Vitara Brezza Dimensions
When it comes to the design of the car, Maruti Suzuki had to keep the Vitara Brezza under 4 metres in length to save on excise duty. Vitara Brezza measures 3995mm in length, 1790mm in width and is 1640mm in height. The wheelbase of 2500mm translates to a roomy and comfortable passenger cabin and the 198mm ground clearance means that you will not be scraping its under-body on most of notorious speed bumps. To ensure that there is sufficient space for luggage, the Vitara Brezza gets a 328 litre boot as well, which can be made larger by folding down the rear seats.
