Yesterday, MG Motor India released a small video clip that revealed the name “MG Hector” for its upcoming SUV. The commercial which surprisingly begins with a curiosity generating music abruptly ends revealing the camouflaged SUV which the company calls “HECTOR“.
The video clip shows extreme cold condition and comes with a caption that it was shot at an altitude of 6725 feet. The MG HECTOR descents from the hill and you will see another caption “Hitting the Indian roads in Mid 2019“. We are curious about the location where this ad was shot and the PR for MG Motor India Indicated that more details cannot be shared.
Looking at the altitude and basing on the fact that MG Motor India business is run by Chinese State-owned SAIC Motors, it is pretty likely the video was shot somewhere in between India and China – What do you think?
