The facelift Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is set to launch by Mid August and a few dealers have already started taking bookings for it. The new Ciaz has been spotted numerous times now and the clear pictures are finally out in the open. From the front, the original headlight shape remains the same but now gets LED headlights and a DRL’s which are the norm now. The grille has been redesigned too and the bumper receives a sporty treatment with chrome accents for the fog lamp housing.
On the sides, the changes are limited to chrome door handles and new design alloy wheels. The rear gets minute touches too like a slightly revamped tail light and chrome accents around the reflectors.
On the inside, the instrument console gets a fresh design and you also get faux wood inserts. The steering wheel gets additional buttons which now includes cruise control. The infotainment system has been updated as well and will be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
There is big news on the engine front as well as we mentioned in our previous story. The 1.4-litre petrol has finally been dumped in favor of a new 1.5-litre engine that will also be doing duty in the new Ertiga. We also see the SHVS badge which means the new Ciaz will get the mild hybrid technology. The new in-house developed 1.5-litre diesel is currently being worked upon and will be launched at a later date.
