New Renault Kwid 1.0-litre Bookings open @ 10,000 INR

Renault Kwid hatchback is one of the best selling cars in entry-level segment in India. The French automaker, Renault is now all set to launch Kwid with a much powerful 1.0 litre engine. Renault dealerships across India have now opened bookings for the upcoming Kwid 1.0 litre variant for an initial booking amount of INR 10,000.

Since its launch last year, Kwid is in the list of best selling cars ( entry-level segment) and has given a tough competition to its long-term rival Maruti Suzuki’s Alto 800 hatchback.

Renault Kwid 1.0 litre Launch Date

The Kwid 1.0 litre version was first showcased at Delhi Auto Expo 2016. While the bookings are now open, the car is expected to be officially launched by end of this month or on August 15th. The deliveries of Kwid 1.0 litre variant will start by next month (September 2016).

Once again the 1.0 litre version of Renault Kwid would be giving a tough competition to Maruti Suzuki’s Alto K10 and the Hyundai Eon in India.

Renault Kwid 1.0 litre Specifications

Under the hood, the all new Renault Kwid 1.0-litre variant would be powered by a new 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 67bhp. The Renault Kwid 1.0 litre version’s engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox, the AMT option of Kwid will be offered at a later date.

When it comes to features, the all new Kwid 1.0-litre variant will will be offered with best-in-class features like touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, new digital instrument cluster, optional front passenger airbag for its top end variant etc.

Renault Kwid 1.0 litre Price

The official price of Renault Kwid 1.0 litre is not revealed yet. The price of Kwid 1 litre engine is expected to have similar price tag as that of Alto K10.
