Introduction

QDR – Quality, Durability and Reliability is built into every Toyota vehicle to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. The all new Toyota Camry Hybrid looks beautiful and amazing In this blog, we will be taking you through a quick tour of new Camry – how it looks from the outside, the cabin, the features , how it drives and performs on the road and the price. Let’s begin!

Exterior Design

Camry gets a beautiful looking Grille in the front.. The car stands out with bold LED lighting, futuristic and sleek grille, vents and follows the aerodynamic design. You can notice the camera sensors, radar sensors in the front. The all new Camry looks great from the side prominently, thanks to 18 inch diamond-cut alloy wheels as well..

The car measures close to 5-metre in length -(4920 mm x 1840 mm x 1455 mm ) LxWxH.  The wheelbase of this car measures 2825 mm. The rear of the car displays a large and wide CAMRY logo, and badge indicating it is coupled with hybrid system. You do not get any gesture control to open the boot.

Interior Design

The cabin is spacious and airy. The 12.3 inch MID display and 12.3 inch touchscreen infotainment system makes your life easy. Despite being a sedan, the car offers a pretty good view for the driver. The driver side seats are electrically adjustable – It has got 10-way power-adjustable seats and offers good lumbar support.

The back side cabin of Toyota Camry is spacious, you will notice the soft upholstery and thoughtfully designed seating. , and the rear side arm rest offers touch buttons that control rear power-reclining seats.

Practicality, Space and Features

Clearly Camry is the car to experience the comfort, spaciousness and premiumness . What better place than sitting at the back? The arm rest has got plenty of functions – you can adjust the AC, charge your phone, bring the rear sun shades up or down, recline your seats play with many controls. You can stretch your leg as long as you want, sit back and enjoy the drive. It is a proper chauffeur driven car.

Talking about the boot, the car features more than 500+ litres of boot space. You can easily store 3-4 big bags, suitcases and even multiple trolly bags with ease.

Engine and Dimensions

The heart of the car, engine is powered by a 4 cylinder 2.5 litre Dynamic Force Engine which is compliant to BS6 Ph2 norms.  The Camry is now using Toyota’s 5th generation hybrid system. The combined overall power output along with the hybrid system is 230 PS. The hybrid system uses all new Li-on battery and there is a dedicated EV mode available. The car is available only in automatic option – the engine is mated to an e-CVT transmission system. The car has a fuel tank capacity of 50 litres.. The gross weight of the car is 2.1 tonne (2100 kgs) kerb weight being 1650 kgs…

How it drives?

It feels perfect to sit in the driver’s seat – to hold the leather wrapped steering wheel with plenty of driver friendly information on the MID display. The HUD display available in Camry helps you focus straight on the road. It is of course “Core to Sedan” – It drives very planted on the highways. The drive is more stable, comfortable as the car sticks very well to the road offering a stable smooth ride. That is why people love sedans because of its sturdy and stable design which sticks to the ground neatly with a very good center of gravity. There are three driving modes available – Sport, Eco, Normal.

A fuel efficiency of around 25 kmpl is claimed by Toyota (in Eco mode) which we couldn’t verify due to time restrictions. You get plenty of ADAS and advanced features, some of them being front collision detection, Lane Keep Assist, Lane departure warning, Adaptive cruise control and more. 9 airbags offered in new Camry adds more confidence while driving the car.

Brakes and Suspension

Both the front and rear side of the car gets the disc brakes. For a comfortable drive on Camry, the suspension plays an important role – the all new Camry is equipped with MacPherson Strut suspension in the front /& Double Wishbone suspension at the rear. The brakes were very responsive.

Price

The all new Toyota Camry is priced at Rs 48 lakhs (Ex-showroom Pan India).

Verdict

What do we think about the new Camry? Available at a price of Rs 48 lakhs (ex-showroom Bangalore), with an assurance of Toyota is a great thing.  If you are looking for a proper feature rich sedan – Camry is the best choice one could make.
