TVS Motor Redefines Mobility at the TVS X Collectors’ Soirée

In a unique departure from traditional automotive events, TVS Motor Company recently hosted the TVS X Collectors’ Soirée in Bengaluru on March 22nd, 2026. The event successfully positioned modern mobility within the broader contexts of design, culture, and traditional craft. Moving away from a standard focus on performance and technical specifications, the gathering explored how a mobility platform can be utilized as a canvas for cultural storytelling.

Unveiling Custom Creations A major highlight of the evening was the unveiling of three one-of-one custom TVS X creations.

  • These exclusive pieces were developed in collaboration with celebrity fashion designer Manoviraj Khosla.
  • Known for his work in fashion circuits, Khosla brought a unique creative lens to the project, treating the TVS X as a moving canvas to blend design, form, and storytelling.
  • Khosla, who also collaborated on bespoke merchandise for collectors, noted that design was integral from the beginning, bringing together material, form, and narrative.

Inspired by Karnataka’s Heritage Bengaluru serves as a central hub for TVS Motor Company’s electric vehicle journey, making it a meaningful launchpad for this cultural initiative. The custom designs draw heavily from Karnataka’s rich artistic and architectural legacy. The inspirations for the custom models include:

  • The historic architecture of Hampi, the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire.
  • The traditional craft of Channapatna.
  • The regal grandeur of Mysuru’s royalty.

These regional influences were interpreted through a contemporary design lens, resulting in collectible pieces that seamlessly bridge modern aesthetics and engineering with regional identity.

A Vision for Culture and Progress Gaurav Gupta, President – India Two Wheeler Business at TVS Motor Company, emphasized the intersection of advancement and heritage. He stated that progress is incomplete without culture, and the TVS X is being used to bring Indian art and architectural heritage into a contemporary form. Gupta also mentioned that this event in Karnataka marks the beginning of a larger journey across India, where the TVS X will serve as a canvas to reinterpret the country’s diverse cultural heritage.

Supporting Artisans and Sustainable Livelihoods The soirée also brought attention to the role of traditional craft in the modern design landscape. Mala Dhawan, Founder of the non-profit organization A Hundred Hands, highlighted the necessity of providing artisans with access, visibility, and fair value for their work.

  • To support this cause, proceeds from the collectors’ auction were directed towards A Hundred Hands.
  • This financial support reinforces the initiative’s focus on preserving traditional craft practices and supporting sustainable livelihoods.
  • Dhawan noted that the initiative creates meaningful value by connecting craftsmanship with the right audience, going far beyond mere product ownership.

The Future of Mobility Platforms For TVS Motor Company, this event indicates a broader shift in how products are perceived and developed. Mobility platforms are evolving past simple utility to actively engage with lifestyle, art, and culture. By using the TVS X as a design canvas, the brand explores the meaningful intersection of tradition and technology, proving that functional objects can also be carriers of cultural value and narrative identity. This soirée is the first in a planned series of curated experiences designed to advance India’s art narratives through mobility.
