Ultraviolette, an innovator in future-ready Electric Mobility Solutions and Energy Technology, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited) at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 to install electric vehicle charging stations at key HPCL fuel stations across India. The strategic partnership between Ultraviolette and HPCL crucially builds on HPCL’s extensive retail fuel pump infrastructure and reflects a forward-thinking and long-term approach by the two entities to enable cross-country EV Motorcycle travel.

Ultraviolette HPCL Partner to expand EV Charging stations

Ultraviolette’s F77 Electric Motorcycles offer an IDC range of 307 KM on a single charge, the highest by any electric two-wheeler in India, letting riders engage in intercity rides and long-distance adventures. This pioneering collaboration between Ultraviolette and HPCL marks another significant leap forward in facilitating seamless long-distance electric motorcycle travel throughout the nation, presenting a promising opportunity for Ultraviolette motorcycle owners to explore the vast expanse of the country with unprecedented ease and convenience.

Under the first phase of this strategic partnership, Ultraviolette will be setting up charging stations at HPCL retail fuel pumps in 12 select states, followed by expansion across the country. Ultraviolette’s fast charging stations will strategically cover not only National Highways and State highways but also the most remote locations, leveraging HPCL’s vast network of retail fuel pumps across geography of India and enable Ultraviolette’s EV bikers to travel much longer distances in lesser time.

Speaking on the partnership, Niraj Rajmohan, CTO & Co-Founder, Ultraviolette said,

“We are delighted to partner with HPCL, which shares our vision of creating a robust EV charging infrastructure. This strategic partnership will enable us to leverage HPCL’s extensive network to offer a seamless and hassle-free charging experience while playing an active role in establishing a national charging infrastructure for electric motorcycles and enabling cross-country EV Motorcycle travel. We believe that this collaboration will accelerate the transition to cleaner forms of mobility, aligning with the Government of India’s ambitious vision for a cleaner and sustainable mobility landscape by 2030.”

Speaking on this partnership, Shri Debashis Chakraverty, Ch. General Manager, Retail Strategy & Business Development, HPCL said,

“HPC is playing a leading role in aiding the adoption of EVs in the country by setting up charging infrastructure for removing range anxiety from EV owners. HPC is targeting to set up 5,000 Charging stations by December 2024.  Presently HPCL is having more than 2600 charging stations at HPC outlets across the country.  This alliance will further strengthen EV adoption in 2W segment”.
