Recently we at gaadikey.com had reported the re-entry of Benelli to Indian market in collaboration  with Mahavir Group based in Hyderabad. The Italian manufacturer announced that the company is planning to launch 12 new models by the end of 2019 and Benelli TRK 251 will be one of the models coming to India.

The company officially revealed TRK 251 at 2017 EICMA . It takes inspirations from bigger India-bound TRK 501 and gets tall visor along with muscular fuel tank, projector headlamp, LED tail lamp and indicators. The Italian manufacturer has given 17 litre fuel tank and it will give good range for TRK 251. The TRK 251 gets 41 mm upside fork at front with 120 mm travel and mono suspension at rear with 51 mm of travel. The company has tuned the suspension for comfort.

The TRK 251 comes with single piece handle bar and it is positioned higher like adventure bikes. The instrument cluster is fully digital and gives lots of information for the rider. Benelli has also given 200 mm ground clearance, which will help TRK 251 to tackle bad roads. The company might also offer accessories for TKR 251 to make it better for cruising.

The TRK 251 is powered by 249 cc single cylinder, liquid cooled motor which is capable of  25.8 HP of power at 9,250 rpm and 21.2 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. This engine is coupled with 6 speed transmission. The braking duties are handled by 280 mm petal disc brake at front and 240 mm petal disc at rear.  We can expect aggressive pricing from Benelli and it will compete against Royal Enfield Himalayan, upcoming KTM 390 Adventure and BMW G310 GS when launched here in India
