Tata Tiago hatchback launched in India at INR 3.2 lakhs

Country’s leading car manufacturer, Tata Motors has launched the much awaited hatchback Tiago today at an event in Mumbai. Tata Tiago has been priced very aggressive with an introductory price tag of INR 3.2 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi).

The top trim of Tata Tiago has been priced at INR 5.54 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi ). Comparing Tiago with other cars, it has been priced INR 80,000 lesser than that of Maruti Celerio, INR 50,000 lesser than that of Hyundai i10 and INR 1.2 lakhs lesser than that of Hyundai Grand i10,

Tata Tiago is offered in both petrol and diesel engines. Both of these engines are new and has been developed in-house by Tata Motors.

The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine develops a power of 85 bhp and 114Nm of torque, and a 1.05-litre . The 3-cylinder Revotorq diesel unit is capable of developing 70 bhp of power and 139Nm of torque. The segment first engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission gearbox.

Tata Tiago Mileage

According to ARAI, the mileage of petrol version of Tata Tiago is 23.84 kmpl whereas the diesel engine in offering delivers a fuel efficiency of 27.28 kmpl.

Tata Tiago Interiors

When it comes to interiors of the car, the all new Tata Tiago will be getting good amount of space inside with a 240-litre boot space which is quite generous and you will be also getting numerous storage spaces that are scattered across the car’s cabin. There is also a dual-tone dashboard with colour-coordinated inserts that are available as an option.

Tata Tiago variants

Tata Tiago is available in 5 different variants – XB, XE, XM, XT and XZ. Tiago’s top trim XZ variant comes with all the bells and whistles like airbags, cooled glovebox, Harman-sourced infotainment system with USB, Bluetooth and aux connectivity. Tata Motors is also offering safety features on its XE, XM and XT trims which is available at an additional cost of INR 18,000.
