Honda 2 Wheelers India, popularly known for its automatic scooter Activa and India’s 2nd largest 2-wheeler manufacturer is set to unveil a new technology on January 2023. Honda has sent out a grand media invitation for the announcement of “H-SMART” what the company calls it as its latest Innovation. Honda 2 Wheelers India has aggressively opened / opening multiple BIG WING showrooms across the length and breadth of the country from last 2 years to attract the premium motorcyclists in India. The yet to revealed “H-Smart” sounds interesting and there are reports that it could be an announcement of hybrid technology.
The H-Smart could be Honda’s first step towards transitioning away from petrol powered 2-wheelers to something hybrid or “partly electric”. Honda has revealed its global electric plan for the future starting from the year 2025-26 .
We have to wait and see if Honda is going to announce something revolutionary in the industry on January 23 which exceeds the customer expectation in India and is very decently priced. Our bet is – It is going to be an Honda Activa (possibly 7G) with a mild-hybrid electric technology which runs on electric motor but powered by petrol, similar to Toyota HyCross with an excellent fuel efficiency figure like >60 kmpl. Our other bet is, it could be a motorcycle or a scooter which runs on E20-E100 powered Ethanol fuel.
