Tata Tiago launch delayed
We had earlier reported that Tata Tiago is going to be launched on 28th of March. While Tiago can be booked online by making an upfront payment of INR 10,000, we have still not received any official confirmation from Tata Motors on Tiago’s actual launch date.
Tata Motors has not revealed the exact reason for delay in Tata Tiago’s launch, the company sources have told that the launch should likely happen mostly in the month of April.
Tiago continues Tata Motors’ brand reinvention in the passenger car segment, following heavily re-engineered models such as the Bolt and Zest. Tata Tiago is going to be strategically placed between Bolt and Nano, replacing the Tata Indica eV2, in a segment where there is a complete domination of Maruti Celerio and Hyundai i10.
Some of the highlights of Tata Tiago include a pair of all-new 3-cylinder petrol and diesel engines and a bold new design.
Tata Tiago’s petrol variant will be getting an all-new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder DOHC aluminium engine which is a part of Tata Motor’s Revotron family of engines. Tiago’s petrol engine develops 83.8bhp of power and 11.6kgm of torque. Tiago’s diesel variant is powered by 1.05-litre 3-cylinder DOHC engine which is made of aluminium with a cast iron block. Tiago’s diesel engine generates 69bhp of power and 14.2kgm of torque.
We hope to see the launch of Tata Tiago soon and will be covering all the updates here whenever the car is launched. Meanwhile, you can check out our specifications comparison:
